The Original Frame for any picture is usually always the preferable option. When this is not possible, because either it isn’t still with the painting, or has been too badly damaged, a Bespoke Frame is the answer. The Framing Studio undertakes bespoke framing, offering water-gilded , carved, veneered or painted frames
After consultation, the framer uses the likes/dislikes of the client together with the age and requirements of the painting itself to design a bespoke frame. This is handmade, at every stage.
Alongside this we offer a consultancy service on all aspects of paintings, including:
- Interior design, with regard to paintings & sculpture
- Valuations – for both Insurance & Probate
- Condition reports & estimates – in the event of damage to items
