DescriptionA wonderful, Flemish School carving of an angel, almost certainly originally carved to stand on the right-hand side of an altar. The wood is a fruitwood, probably peach.Two pieces of wood having been 'scarfed' together. Originally, this would have been gessoed, gilded & painted.
